SNACK?

Emily enjoying a snack! I have to hide the better when I cook, or else she would probably eat a pound of it. We went to the pool today, and I noticed her little thighs were getting a little chunky. I don't know if it is from the butter or all of the m&ms she has been getting for going to the potty!

Summerfest

We took Emily to Summer Fest in Belmont this evening. We weren't sure if she would enjoy riding the carnival rides or not,but she loved it. We met the Warsinsky's there, so she loved having Tanner to ride with her. She rode a pirate ship that rocked back and forth, the ferris wheel, a space ship, a train, a strawberry that went around, and bounced in a bouncing house just to name a few. She is fearless! Afterwards we had dinner at the Dairy Queen.

Potty Time

Not much going on around here this week. Emily is still trying to master learning to use the potty. She is doing very well, as long as she is not having a stubborn moment. She now goes sometimes without requesting a "prize" which is good because that was becoming expensive. I cleaned out the book shelf and found some books we havent read so that will be the prize next time she ask. She loves books, and is enjoying Dr. Suess', Hop on Pop and Green Eggs and Ham. I never did like those books and still don't!

Tomorrow we are going to go swimming and maybe catch a summer carnival this weekend. Todd starts another vacation on Monday, so he will be home with us and that means I will get to sleep in late some days!?

The pictures are of Emily with her potty prize. It is a minnie mouse which she is really likes, although the picture doesn't say that.

Next is her holding a cucumber from the garden. She says they stink and doesn't like them!

Last is her in the sprinkler. She finally doesn't mind getting her hair and face wet.

Caleb and Graysen came to visit us on Thursday. Graysen was released from the hospital on Wednesday and is doing ok. He is such a tough little guy. The kids had a great time playing and laughing. Here is Emily playing peek a boo with Graysen.

No Pictures....

Emily has had a busy week so far. She went to a new play group on Tuesday and I think she really had fun. She played with all the kids while I sat with the other mommies and chit-chat. She would occasionaly check in and get a drink and then she was off again. She is getting so big. Ty and Tanner also came over to play one day. They ran nonstop chasing each other.

I don't know if you will be able to make it out or not, but at the end of the video, she is saying "no picture". I think she is tired of all the pictures that I take.
She was not injured by the cat during this filming. The cat is declawed!

Out of the blue on Monday, Emily peepeed in her potty. She just ran into her potty, insisted that I leave and then came and told me she had peepeed. She got to go the the dollar tree and pick out 2 toys. Two because the next morning she went again. She chose a doll and a spider man ball. This evening, she went again. Won't be long and I think we will be out of the diapers. She is growing up too fast on me.

Baby Graysen is in the hospital with some issues concerning his kidneys. He is doing well, and will most likely be home on Wednesday. Please keep him and the Slushers in your thoughts and prayers.

DADDYS GIRL

Today Emily was daddys girl. She helped him around the house and then they went to the store. They came back with lollipops. They fixed dinner together and played outside on the trampoline. I wasn't allowed to jump, per Emily, but I was allowed to join in on a game of hide and seek.

Happy, Rainy 4th

OUR WEEKEND

We enjoyed our weekend in WV although it was a wet one. We spent the fourth at mom and dads and then watched the fire works in the rain. On Saturday, Brian took us to check out his new place of employment. He works for Brookfield Power. They supply electricity to a large factory, through a hydro electric dam. It was all very intresting, and we got to see things that only few people get to see. We enjoyed a great shrimp fest on Thursday night and Peg fixed us a big breakfast on Sunday morning before we left.

The pictures are of Emily and I on the dam which was build in the 1930's and is closed to the public. The view from the dam was very nice.

I think Emily enjoyed playing in the rain more than she did the fireworks. She enjoyed playing at the local Dairy Queen with Aunt Nancy, although we have no idea what she was calling her. It sounded like "mom", but she always calls me "mama" so I don't know what she was trying to say.

Today our friends Lychell, Trenton, and Brayden came over to visit. Emily and Trenton played pretty well together. They played basketball, grocery store, went camping and fed Apache bones. Brayden has grown alot since we last saw him. Emily payed alot of attention to him as well. Lychell and I enjoyed conversation and cheesecake!

We are leaving tomorrow to go to WV for the fourth. We will return on Sunday with my niece and nephew Kirsten and Corey. They are coming to spend the week with us. It will be alot of fun having them here.
